HAVANA SUN

Ron Rice started the Hawaiian Tropic Sun Care line in a garbage can in his garage in 1969 after he had gone to Hawaii and saw the women on the beach using homemade suntanning formulas with coconut and avocado oils.

After achieving decades of success, raising Hawaiian Tropic to number 2 in worldwide sales, he sold the company in 2007.

Inspired by the re-opening of Cuba and the people there, Rice started a new sun care product - Havana Sun. Using what he learned from the success of Hawaiian Tropic, he and his team dove right in and launched the product in the spring of 2016.

JOEY GASE RACING

Joey Gase is a driver in the NASCAR CUP SERIES who hails from Cedar Rapids, IA, who has made more than 350 starts since 2014 in the Cup, Xfinity, and Craftsman Truck Series.

Joey married his wife Caitlyn in 2018 and welcomed twin sons Jace and Carson in 2020.

Committed to making real connections with his fans, Joey is engaged with numerous charities and non-profit organizations, and has a personal connection that links his desire to help those in need. At age 18, he tragically lost his mother, Mary, to a sudden brain aneurysm. Joey and his family decided to donate his mother’s organs and later learned that her gift helped save and improve the lives of 66 people. Gase developed a desire and passion for educating others on the need of organ, tissue, and eye donation and honoring all of those affected by it. His hard work in the donation community has proven to be successful in his goals and he has received many honorable awards, including the inaugural COMCAST Community Outreach Award and AATB Communication and Education’s “The Ground Breaker” Award.

Joey’s hot rod is regularly adorned with the face of his mother and others who have given the gift of life, making his one of the most unique cars in NASCAR.

At a young age of 8, Gase began his racing career with a desire to follow in his father’s footsteps. The 26 year old from Cedar Rapids, Iowa began his racing career when he won his very first race in the Jr 1 Go Karts at Hawkeye Downs Speedway. Since then Gase has worked up the K&N ranks when we was 14, to late models when he was 15. His first NASCAR XFINITY Series start came in 2011 and he made his first Daytona 500 start in 2017.

IMPACT SPORTS

Impact Sports is an early stage protective headgear company dedicated to protecting youth athletes from traumatic brain injuries, including concussions. Recently, Impact Sports launched their site outlining the release of their new Soft Shell Helmet, The Calvarum Praesidio. Our soft shell prototype recently went through rigorous testing at Virginia Tech where they earned a “high 4 Star” rating, narrowly missing the top rating of 5 stars. 

The Calvarum Praesidio is undergoing modification and will be ready to ship in April or May, 2020. Our partner institution, Wichita State University, continues to collect data on our material testing as well as our tackle helmet, which is also in finite testing.

WORLD TEAMTENNIS

The Orlando Storm launched as World TeamTennis’ 8th franchise in the Spring of 2019, and quickly played their first season in July. BRENTWOOD PARTNERS was retained in Fall 2019 by WTT CEO Carlos Silva to provide a strategic roadmap for the 2020 season per revenue generation, organizational structure, brand development, and grassroots marketing execution. BP also oversaw the design/build process for a new, temporary indoor competition venue at the USTA National Campus, and led the search for the hiring of both full-time, and temporary staffing. The project was completed in March 2020.
