NORTH CAROLINA SPORTS NETWORK

Founded in 2023, the NORTH CAROLINA SPORTS NETWORK (NCSN) is a focused multimedia platform dedicated to telling the stories of the people, places, events, and culture of the BOLD NORTH STATE.

What sets NCSN apart from other media outlets in North Carolina is its content, which is produced by unmatched experts in the field, including former college and professional coaches, executives, and successful sports business leaders.

Activation and fan engagement are major components of each broadcast season. NCSN has produced over 50 live events in its first two years of operation, including a weekly on-site college football tour, THE OLD NORTH STATE TAILGATE & TRAVELING SPORTS CIRCUS, which travels throughout North Carolina to different college, professional, or high school games during the fall.

In July 2024, NCSN launched the NORTH CAROLINA SPORTS AWARDS, aka “THE PINEYS”, the State’s foremost recognition of excellence in sports.

The network has created and managed successful promotional campaigns such as BACON & BASKETBALL during the 2023-24 and 2024-25 NCAA Men’s and Women’s Basketball Tournaments, engaging over 100,000 fans through customized weekly content and popular bracket contests.

NCSN also covers major events like NC PORK’s WHOLE HOG BARBECUE CHAMPIONSHIPS and the NASCAR Xfinity and Craftsman Truck Series, including NC BY TRAIN’S “RETURN TO THE ROCK” at Rockingham Speedway in the spring of 2025.

Additionally, NCSN has established an alliance with the North Carolina High School Athletic Association (NCHSAA). The network was present for the 2023 and 2024 Football Championships as well as the 2025 Boys’ and Girls’ Basketball Championships, producing customized team introduction videos for each of the 16 NCHSAA finalists for the games held at Joel Coliseum in Winston-Salem.

JOEY GASE RACING

Joey Gase is a driver in the NASCAR CUP SERIES who hails from Cedar Rapids, IA, and has made more than 350 starts since 2014 in the Cup, Xfinity, and Craftsman Truck Series.

Joey married his wife Caitlyn in 2018 and welcomed twin sons Jace and Carson in 2020.

Committed to making real connections with his fans, Joey is engaged with numerous charities and non-profit organizations. He has a personal connection that links his desire to help those in need. At age 18, he tragically lost his mother, Mary, to a sudden brain aneurysm. Joey and his family decided to donate his mother’s organs and later learned that her gift helped save and improve the lives of 66 people. Gase developed a desire and passion for educating others on the need for organ, tissue, and eye donation and honoring all those affected. His hard work in the donation community has successfully achieved his goals. He has received many honorable awards, including the inaugural COMCAST Community Outreach Award and AATB Communication and Education’s “The Ground Breaker” Award.

Joey’s hot rod is regularly adorned with the face of his mother and others who have given the gift of life, making it one of the most unique cars in NASCAR.

At a young age of 8, Gase began his racing career with a desire to follow in his father’s footsteps. The 26-year-old from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, began his racing career when he won his very first race in the Jr 1 Go Karts at Hawkeye Downs Speedway. Since then, Gase has worked up the K&N ranks when he was 14, to late models when he was 15. His first NASCAR XFINITY Series start came in 2011, and he made his first Daytona 500 start in 2017.
